Functions of the Journals' Committees

Editorial Committee

 

Chief Editor

 

* As a member of the Editorial Committee they has the same functions, with the exception that their vote is a casting vote

* Represents the Editorial Committee to authors and referees maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and editorial ethic, ensuring full compliance with editorial policies

* Receives submissions and if they meet the objective and policies of REMEF presents them to a review by Editorial Committee which will decide whether arbitration is recommended

* Communicate promptly to all authors the decision of accepting or rejecting their articles, according to the recommendations made by the referees

* Responsible of agreements, circulation and promotion of the Journal with other research organizations and national and international researchers

* They are responsible for all correction, clarification and apology necessary to make public

* In coordination with the Co-Editor, they oversee compliance with the editorial review process.

 

Co-Editor

 

* Represents the Editorial Committee to the various organs of IMEF (Mexican Institute of Finance Executives)

* Call for real and virtual meetings necessary for the functioning of the Journal

* Propose the agenda of the meetings and discussions of the Editorial Board

* Ensure that the agreements and decisions of the Editorial Board are carried out

* Coordination and general supervision of all processes from receipt until the publication of the articles

* Ensure confidentiality concerning the peer review process and in general that the whole reviewing process is fair and appropriate

* To ask all authors to disclose any conflict of interest before publication, and request publication of any clarification required in case of disputes identified afterwards

* In coordination with the Chief Editor, receives submissions and if they meet the objective and policies of REMEF presents them to a review by Editorial Committee which will decide whether arbitration is recommended

* In coordination with the Chief Editor, communicate promptly to all authors the decision of accepting or rejecting their articles, according to the recommendations made by the referees

* Reviews administrative processes and oversees compliance with the editorial process in liaison with the Editorial Coordinator.

 

Nacional members (deputy editors)

 

* Invite scholars to submit articles to the Journal

* Review articles to decide whether the refereeing process must go on

* Propose articles to be submitted to the refereeing process

* Propose referees

* Propose contents to be published in each issue, considering accepted articles

* Propose the order of the articles to be published in each issue

* Propose changes in the guide to authors

* Propose indexation alternatives for the Journal

* Suggest operating rules for the publication of the Journal

* Promote the Journal

* Ensure the quality of the material published, promoting the best academic and scientific standards

* Reconsider the decision about rejected articles in case of scientific controversy

* Participate in decision-making by individual voting concerning all functions of the Journal

* Ensure that no discrimination takes place due to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors

 

Foreign members (deputy editors)

 

* Suggest scientific policies for the continuous and long term development of the Journal

* Make recommendations for improving the Journal

* Propose changes to the authors guidelines

* Promote the Journal

 

 

Executive Committee

 

* Liaison with the Research Foundation from IMEF (Mexican Institute of Finance Executives) which approves and validates the decisions of the Editorial Committee

* Liaison with the National Presidency of IMEF and other organs of this institution

* Implement and monitor the decisions of the Editorial Committee

* Obtain and manage the material and financial resources necessary for editing, printing, distribution and promotion of the Journal

* Legally represent the Journal to third parties

* Responsible for the timely elaboration of the Editorial by IMEF for each issue of the Journal

* Responsible for developing and maintaining the website of the journal

* Issue suggestions regarding general and operational rules of the Journal
